  14. DESCRIPTION
  15.  
  16. You get an error message, "OS2CDROM.DMD failed to load" when the CD-ROM
  17. drive is connected to the secondary channel of a CMD640 controller.
  18.  
  19. RESOLUTION
  20.  
  21. 1. Make sure you are using the latest drivers for the CMD640 controller.
  22.  
  23.     Note: You can find these by downloading WARPINST.EXE from 
  24.           the PCBBS at (919) 517-0001 or the Internet at
  25.           ftp.pcco.ibm.com/ps/pccbbs/corrective_svc.

  27. 2. In the CONFIG.SYS file on OS/2 Installation diskette 1, ensure that the 
  28.    following two statements are present:
  29.    
  30.          BASEDEV=CMD640X.ADD 
  31.          BASEDEV=CMDATAPI.FLT
  32.  
  33. 3. Add the switch /CH2:0 to the end of the BASEDEV=CMD640X.ADD 
  34.    statement, as follows:

  36.          BASEDEV=CMD640X.ADD /CH2:0
