  11. DESCRIPTION
  12.  
  13. The SYS3175 error message occurs during installation:
  14.  
  15. * When using Selective Install
  16.  
  17. * After the message, "Initializing Installation program...." and before
  18.   the System Configuration screen
  19.  
  20. The display shows the following information:
  21.

  24.     A program generated an access violation at 17xx930c
  25.     OS2MM.DLL 0001:000x930C.

  29.     CS:EIP=005B:17xx930c

  35. (x is a variable and can be any value.)

  37. If CS:EIP parameter ends with 930c, the problem is fixed in the latest 
  38. available OS/2 Warp FixPak.
  39.  
  40. RESOLUTION
  41.  
  42. Download the latest OS/2 FixPak and LDF.COM.
  43.  
  44. Notes:
  45.  
  46. * To install the FixPak, you must be at the General Availability (GA)
  47.   level of code, XR03000, or later. To determine the current Corrective
  48.   Service Diskette (CSD) level of your system, go to an OS/2 command
  49.   prompt; then type SYSLEVEL and press Enter.
  50.  
  51. * You will need PKUNZIP.EXE or UNZIP.EXE to extract files.

  53. Downloading FixPak Files from the Internet
  54. ------------------------------------------
  55. If you have access to Internet services, you can download FixPaks using
  56. the following methods:
  57.  
  58. * Anonymous FTP to ftp.software.ibm.com (IP Address 198.17.57.67).
  59.   FixPaks are in the /PS/PRODUCTS/OS2/FIXES directory.

  61. * World Wide Web (WWW) access via IBM Software Manufacturing Services at
  62.   ftp://service.boulder.ibm.com.

  64.   The full address is:

  67. Downloading FixPak Files from the IBM PCC BBS

  69. Dial the IBM PCC BBS at 919-517-0001. If you cannot connect to this 
  70. number, contact your local IBM branch office.
