  5.        DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:
  6.  
  7.        Run DSPINSTL and when svga.exe executes the system will
  8.        hang.
  9.  
  10.        SUMMARY OF RESOLUTIONS:
  11.  
  12.        Verify that your hardware along with OS/2 will support svga
  13.        resolution.  If so, then install svga video drivers using
  14.        an alternate procedure.
  15.  
  16.        DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:
  17.  
  18.        1. Verify that your hardware along with OS/2 will support
  19.        svga resolution.
  20.        2. Boot from the DOS partition or a DOS
  21.        bootable diskette.
  22.        3. Execute SVGA ON DOS from the prompt.
  23.        4. Validate the contents of SVGADATA.DOS such as the total
  24.        memory detected, etc.
  25.        5. Boot OS/2.
  26.        6. Copy the SVGADATA.DOS FILE to the OS2 directory on
  27.        the OS2 boot drive.
  28.        7. Rename or copy the SVGADATA.DOS to SVGADATA.PMI.
  29.        8. Now execute RSPDSPI.EXE:

  31.        RSPDSPI /PK:SVGA /SK:NONE /S:A:  /T:C:\ /MC:8
  32.  
  33.        /S:A:  - this is the source diskette drive /T:C:\ - root
  34.        directory of the OS/2 boot drive /MC:8 - manufacturers code
