Finally. Two powerful utilities that add extreme value to OS/2 networking.
This archive contains a Tunnel Master and a Tunnel Slave. The utilities
are packed as the archive Tunnel/2, but consider them to be modular
building blocks in your OS/2 based network.
A tunnel allows data to be securely passed between a Master and another
computer over a public network, as if the two were connected directly on
your LAN.
Tunnel/2 intercepts your TCP/IP traffic then encapsulates it and
sends it on a normal socket to the other end, where the process is
reversed.
Via separately available plugins, Tunnel/2 offers to optionally encrypt,
filter or compress TCP/IP packets before sending.
The public Internet is great. It allows you to build a "Virtual Private
Network" for almost no money, by simply using the Internet infrastructure
in a new way.
