  10.       driver is supported on OS/2 WARP Version 3.0.

  51.        The Enhanced Video Device Driver enables (1) accelerated motion video
  52.        playback, (2) video capture and overlay, and (3) video output to a
  53.        television.  The video capture enables you to easily capture and
  54.        digitize still images or motion video directly from a video cassette
  55.        recorder.

  57.         (1) Accelerated full-screen motion video playback
  58.             - Video image zoom-in
  59.             - Video image zoom-in with bi-linear interpolation
  60.             - Color space conversion
  61.             - Video playback up to 640x480 window size
  62.         (2) Video capture and overlay
  63.             - NTSC composite, PAL composite, or S-video input
  64.             - Overlay the captured motion video on the screen
  65.             - Overlay the captured motion video on the screen while
  66.               storing the captured motion video to the hard disk
  67.         (3) VGA video output to television

  72.   2.0 Installation of OS/2 Enhanced Video Device Driver

  75.        1. DOS and Windows** must be installed on your computer with
  76.           ThinkPad device drivers before installing this device driver.
  77.           Refer to the ThinkPad User's Guide and the documentation
  78.           that came with DOS and Windows**.
  79.  
  80.        2. If OS/2 Warp is not already installed, please refer to "How to
  81.           Use OS/2 WARP with Your Computer" for installation instructions.
  82.           This document along with ThinkPad 755CD device drivers and
  83.           utilities is available on the IBM PC Company BBS in the RT755A
  84.           package.

  86.        3. Install the ThinkPad device drivers and utilities for OS/2 as directed
  87.           in "How to Use OS/2 WARP with Your Computer".
  88.  
  89.        4. If the Video In Recorder Application from the BonusPak is to be
  90.           installed, you must do so now before proceeding.
  91.  
  92.        5. Install the ThinkPad 755CD Overlay Video Acceleration driver:
  93.  
  94.           a. Insert the ThinkPad 755CD Overlay Video Acceleration diskette
  95.              into drive A.
  96.           b. Open an OS/2 window.
  97.           c. At the command prompt, type the following and then press Enter:
  98.  
  99.                MINSTALL
  100.  
  101.           The IBM Multimedia Presentation Manager/2 - Installation
  102.           window appears on your screen.
  103.  
  104.           d. In the window, change the Source Drive to A:.
  105.           e. Select Install.
  106.           f. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the
  107.              installation.
  108.  
  109.        6. Enable the video capture feature under OS/2 Warp:
  110.  
  111.           o  Click on the ThinkPad Features object on your Desktop.
  112.           o  Refer to the section called "Using the Enhanced Video
  113.              Features" in Chapter 3 of the ThinkPad 755CD User's Guide for
  114.              instructions.

  116.        7. When prompted, shut down and restart your computer in order for
  117.           these changes to take effect.

  121.   3.0 Usage Notes
  122.       __________
  123.  
  124.       o  The device is opened exclusively for recording, playback, or TV
  125.          output.  For example, after the device is configured for recording
  126.          or monitoring live video, it cannot be used concurrently for
  127.          accelerated video playback or vice versa.
  128.  
  129.       o  If the device is not available for hardware accelerated playback,
  130.          the subsystem will perform software playback automatically.
  131.  
  132.       o  In order to achieve accelerated video playback, open the Digital
  133.          Video object.
  134.  
  135.       o  When TV output is enabled, the device cannot be used for recording
  136.          or monitoring live video or hardware accelerated playback.  In
  137.          order to use the Enhanced Video Device Driver, you must disable TV
  138.          output.  To do so, use the ThinkPad Features object and select
  139.          Video-in to disable TV output.
  140.  
  141.       o  During video recording, the live monitor window might flicker.
  142.  
  143.       o  The live video in the monitor window might be distorted if the
  144.           monitor window is other than half size, normal size, or double
  145.           size.

  147.   4.0 Video-in Usage Tips:

  150.       o  When the monitor window is in focus, you can press Shift+F6 to toggle
  151.          between full-screen video or the previous size.
  152.  
  153.       o  You can use Shift+F5 to maintain the original aspect ratio.  To
  154.          disable this function, press Shift+F5 again.
