FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Frenster Associates SHIPS new Matrix Cognition support for IBM's NEW
version of OS/2 Warp.
Menlo Park, Calif. Oct.11, 1994. A new version 2 of Matrix Cognition
fully supports new OS/2 Warp, and takes particular advantage of 32-bit
processing and the Workplace Shell. "By using OS/2 Warp, our new
version 2 of Matrix Cognition will now be effective in mobile systems
that contain as little as 4MB of RAM," said Dr. John Frenster of
Frenster Associates. "Extensive testing of IBM OS/2 Warp with the new
version 2 of Matrix Cognition reveals easy availability to all 30
topic-domains for decision-making in Matrix Cognition".
Matrix Cognition is a user-defined application for complex decision-
making in business, organizations, technical and personal decisions.
A menu of 30 topic-domains permits focused decisions in such areas as:
investment, research, marketing, finance, insurance and sales. Matrix
Cognition is based on artificial intelligence programs first used in
medical decision-making, utilizing multi-attribute analysis and pattern
recognition. Retail price is $250, including tax and shipping.
Matrix Cognition is native to IBM OS/2 version 2.0 or higher, and is
available only on OS/2 systems. Frenster Associates are beta-testers
for IBM WARP, version 3 and IBM DB2/2, version 1.2, and are members of
the U.S. Commercial/Premier Services IBM Developer Assistance Program.
IBM's OS/2 combines the performance and reliability of the 32-bit OS/2
environment with mobility and productivity features, such as simplified
installation, reduced memory requirements, a BonusPak of productivity
applications, Internet access, Launch Pad and a more responsive user
interface. The new IBM OS/2 Warp will allow OS/2, Windows 3.1, Windows
3.11, Windows for Workgroups** 3.1, and DOS applications to run on the
same desktop.
