  7. The Unite Image Viewer Object provides the capability of viewing
  8. and manipulating bitonal, grayscale, and color scanned documents
  9. and faxes.  The Unite Image Viewer Object was developed using
  10. IBM's state-of-the-art System Object Model (SOM) technology.

  14. From the VX-REXX novice to the C/C++ programmer, the Unite Image
  15. Viewer Object's powerful functionality is easily accessible. 
  16. The Unite Image Viewer Object can be integrated into development
  17. environments such as Watcom's VX-REXX,  IBM's VisualAge, and
  18. coming soon, OpenDoc. Once the object is integrated, its
  19. functionality can be implemented using drag-and-drop technology.
  20.  Fully functional 32-bit APIs are also available.  Use the Unite
  21. Image Viewer Object to develop the imaging application which
  22. solves your paper- and fax-based business problem.

  34. Many file formats are supported including BMP, GIF, TGA, TIFF,
  35. JPEG, and PPM. OS/2 system clipboard cut and paste is supported
  36. which makes transferring data between your OS/2 and Windows
  37. programs a snap.

  41. The Unite Image Viewer Object can be integrated with a number of
  42. other Unite objects and products including:  Unite Scanner
  43. Object, Unite Storager, and Unite CDbMaker.  Mix and match any
  44. combination of Unite objects and products to configure the
  45. system that meets your organization's needs.

  47. CONVENTIONAL, COMPREHENSIVE METHODS

  49. The Unite Image Viewer Object includes a fully functional,
  50. DDE-enabled executable file which creates a Unite Image Viewer
  51. Object window.  By clicking the right mouse button in this
  52. window, a pop-up menu of available methods is presented to the
  53. user.

  55. ADDITIONAL FEATURES

  57. - Sticky notes can be added to documents.
  58. - The icon which represents your document can appear as a
  59.   thumbnail image of the document.
  60. - A portion of the document can be extracted to create a whole
  61.   new document.
