  2. Attention Team OS/2 Members (USA)
  3.  
  4. The OS/2 Vendor Council, IBM, and CompUSA are currently planning an
  5. OS/2 Application day on Saturday, March 5, 1994.  This will be a
  6. full day to do in-store OS/2 and application demonstrations and
  7. let people see and try OS/2 products.  We're looking for
  8. volunteers who may be interested in helping out so we can feature
  9. OS/2 and applications in as many CompUSA stores as possible nationwide.

  11. The Vendor Council is a group of 16 independent vendors of OS/2 appli-
  12. cations who work together to help promote and distribute their pro-
  13. ducts.  A recent agreement with CompUSA means that these products are
  14. now starting to appear in CompUSA stores everywhere. So, this is a
  15. great opportunity to help show off OS/2 applications to OS/2 users as
  16. well as show off OS/2 to everyone else.

  18. Of course, this will be a lot of work. But, as many of you know by know,
  19. it can also be a lot of fun.  Especially since we'll have real
  20. applications to show off to potential customers.
  21.  
  22. We're looking for help in doing these demonstrations and answering
  23. questions.  The vendors will also have representations at stores
  24. where possible.  And, we need a person willing to be the Lead
  25. Teamer for each store to coordinate the volunteers, merchandise,
  26. software, and general communications for the local teams.

  36. making final arrangements with the stores.  Please give her your
  37. name, city, phone number, and email userid and fax number (if you have
  38. them plus the location of the CompUSA you'd like to take.  Also
  39. please indicate if you're willing to be the lead rep for this store.
  40. She'll get back to you letting you know what to do or who to contact
  41. from that point on.

  43. Once again, let's show CompUSA and computer users around the country
  44. that "OS/2ers have more fun".

  46. We'll announce more details when we have them.  However, we will be
  47. posting a list of CompUSA stores around the country VERY soon as
  48. well as the Lead Teamers.
