  5. IBM Special Needs Systems announces the availability of Screen
  6. Reader/2 Version 1.1 for OS/2 Version 2.1.  Screen Reader/2 enables
  7. blind and visually impaired computer users to access multiple
  8. operating system environments and graphical user interfaces (GUIs).
  9.  
  10. Screen Reader/2 is the first system to offer access to three
  11. operating environments: OS/2 Version 2.1; Windows Version 3.1; and DOS.

  13. Screen Reader/2 includes the following features:

  15. o   SWITCH LIST
  16.  
  17.     Use the Screen Reader/2 Switch List as a "fast path" for accessing
  18.     your applications.  This feature is comparable to locating an
  19.     application visually and then clicking on it to bring it
  20.     to the foreground - using the keypad instead of a mouse.
  21.  
  22. o   AUTOMATIC READING
  23.  
  24.     Move your focus to an application and Screen Reader/2 will
  25.     announce its title automatically.  Move a selector to a menu item
  26.     and you'll hear it.  You'll even hear pushbuttons, radio buttons,
  27.     spin buttons, and other controls described.  This works in both
  28.     OS/2 Presentation Manager and Windows applications.

  32.     Choose from over 35 applications and Screen Reader/2 will
