  28. IBM Workstation Interactive Test Tool (WITT) Year 2000 for OS/2 (R)
  29. Version 3.0 offers you powerful tools that make application test
  30. activities more productive.

  32. WITT Year 2000 can improve productivity of Year 2000 projects most
  33. effectively; however, you can use this tool in any type of projects.

  35. WITT Year 2000 provides the following test tool:

  37. Auto Test Performer
  38.  
  39. The automation of tests has been one of the critical requirements
  40. from the viewpoint of optimization of human resources in test
  41. activities.  Auto Test Performer of WITT Year 2000, the successor of
  42. WITT Version 2, can emulate a user's operation through user
  43. interfaces of application programs and execute a recorded test
  44. scenario automatically.

  46. With "Recorder" of the Auto Test Performer, user operations by
  47. keyboard are recorded in a "script" file, which "Player" replays
  48. automatically.  You can capture the image of a screen and compare
  49. expected and actual images.  You can put the scripts in a batch file
  50. and perform unattended test execution.

  52. Auto Test Performer offers record, playback, and comparison
  53. capability for S/390 (R) or AS/400 (R) applications developed with
  54. COBOL, PL/I, or other languages through 3270 or 5250 screens on OS/2.

  343. The program package upgrade option allows currently licensed users of
  344. WITT Version 1 (5601-441), WITT Version 2 (5648-031), or WITT/PM
  345. (5764-084) to obtain the new function for a program upgrade charge.
  346. The program upgrade to WITT Year 2000 for OS/2 Version 3.0 will be
  347. available on April 14, 1997.  Orders will be accepted after
  348. April 14, 1997.  These upgrades will be available through IBM sales
  349. affiliates.  The remarketer may require a PoE for each upgrade
  350. ordered.

  353. End-user customers can acquire upgrades up to the number of
  354. qualifying programs for which they are currently authorized.  Use
