SiS620 integrated 6326 with it. But don't try Sis OS/2 driver. It is a
nightmare. Try GEN Gradd of IBM. A bit slow is better a lot bug nightmare
from SiS driver.

Have you ever heard permedia OS/2 driver? Try Gen Gradd of IBM with no
choice.

From: OrangeDino <Bodhisattva@ctimail.com>
SiS have OS/2 display driver for 6326 (530 integrated 6326 to it). But don't
try the driver it is a nightmare. Use gen gradd from IBM. It is a bit slow
because it is not accelerated but it works fine compare with the SiS OEM
driver.

It has drivers... I don't know where they are, but people are using
them. Check DejaNews... :)

Subj: corrupted video with keyboard, mouse, video switcher
From: gdfitzpat@smartt.com (Doug Fitzpatrick)
I have recently tried getting a kvm to work with OS/2.
One box runs Warp (ATI mach 64), the other Linux (Matrox Millenium).
I can switch from OS/2 to Linux but when I switch back the OS/2
desktop
is corrupted. Both OS's boot up fine. I've switched A and B ports on
the switchbox.
The problem follows the box running OS/2. The switch maker says
they'll replace the switcher, but have never heard of this problem.
Does anyone run a kvm with OS/2 and what brand is it?
Thanks,
Doug

I used a pretty generic manual switchbox to go between two boxes
running OS/2; one with an ATI Mach 8 and the other with a Matrox
Mystique. I found the video gradually degraded unless I powered
the monitor off before switching.

There are OS/2 drivers on the CD-Rom supplied with the card. Also,
all the drivers which have been released so far can be found here:
http://www.MatroxUsers.com/Driver/OS2.html
Mine works really well in OS/2, Linux, and Windows.

From: RobAndel <rob@ais.net>
I just got a S3 Trio 3D/2X video card. This is ColorMax VA-368 AGP
Graphics Card with 8 meg. Does anyone know where to get OS/2 drivers
for this. Will the S3 Trio 3D drivers on the IBM OS/2 Device Driver
Pack Online work? It did not mention the 368 support.

To be honest, guys and gals, the experience I have with the crapware known as
SiS video chipsets leads me to believe that he would be better off buying a
$30 4 MB card with S3 or Matrox chipset on it instead. The image quality of
SiS is poor in 2D and 3D, and doesn't even run games in Windows 95 well. It
reminds me of the first S3 Virge 3D "decelerators".
Cheap motherboards are all over with these horrible quality, cardboard
electronics, and I hoping that eventually consumers learn that and vote with
their feet.

Try it, you've got nothing to lose. The worst that will happen is
you'll get a trap, and when you re-boot you can set to VGA and install
the drivers again. I had to do that when going from a Millennium II
to a G200. I can't remember, but I may have been using a pre-G200
driver- it didn't recognize the G200, but that's a different
situation.

OK, but do Any of the DVD-RAM drives have OS/2 drivers that allow one to
record data, backed up data, or MP3 files for that matter, to the 5.2 gig
DVD-RAM discs,, from the OS/2 WPS?
I've been looking high and low for an OS/2 DVD-RAM device. Should be just
the thing to finally allow me to get that bad taste out of my mouth over the
ongoing failures of my Syquest Syjet
Info Please!!!

Subj: Matrox G400 and OS/2
From: schorn@my-deja.com
Hello,
i'am owner of a matrox millenium G400 32 MB.
The OS/2 drivers 2.30 and 2.31 work fine with
normal desktop applications, but when i will use
the game B.U.G.S from stardock or a TV application
for my haupauge TV card which both use "DIVE",
there is no picture in the DIVE window.
The same driver and a matrox Milenium G200 work well.
I have tested it on to computers with the same result.
Does anyone know a solution for the problem?
Regards Stefan

Go into the Matrox settings and disable EnDive, that
should fix it.

I've just installed a G400 AGP card (16 meg) onto a
new mother board. The problem I have, is that during
boot, everything is fine until the desktop starts to load.
The top part of the startup.cmd window shows up, then
it locks up solid (C-A-D works). I've tried all the tips
given in this thread and nothing seems to make a difference.
I've had to go back to my 4 meg Trident card.
Hardware is a FIC motherboard, 32M ram, and the
usual NIC, SB64, and 4 com ports.
I'm starting to wonder if I should have got a G200????
Any help would be appreciated.

I had exactly the same problem until I installed the driver from hobbes:
ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/system/drivers/video/matroxg400_231095.zip It
also seems to cures some hangups that I got with my Millenium.
What really pisses me off is that this driver isn't available at Matrox's
site.

Interesting. Is this supplied by Matrox, or is it third party?

Had same problem, sort of locked up when entering the wps. Interesting it
locked up on same "raster" line everytime. After having the system turned on
for a hour or two. It worked. I sent back the card and got a new one. Now it
works fine.

Thankyou very much. That cured it! Nice card now that
it's up and running.

Doesn't make a lot od sense, but Matrox is know not to carry
the nasty type of drivers (from other people who sent me a
reply......this is my first Matrox).
