============ Read Me Text For QikView/2 For OS/2 Install ================
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%______________________________________%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
To install the QikView/2, plan what directory name & drive you will use. e.g.
D:\QikV2 or D:\QikView2. The name of the directory must have at least 5 charactors
The install program is started by typing " qv2instal.exe "
no quotes, then press enter. This is done after you have unzipped the file into
its temporary directory. With all DLLs and program files, you need about 3.5 to
4 mb of free space. If the program ask to over write some dlls, say Y as these
DLL files are the most current.
To add the QikView/2 to the desktop, click twice on the Program icon on the desktop
with the left mouse button, now put your pointer over the New Program Icon Template
and drag it with the right mouse button to your desktop, the properties settings
will open automatically, on the Program page in the Required Path and File Name Box
put in the " <drive>:\QV\qikview2.exe " where drive the drive that your directory is
on that you have the QikView/2 program installed. In the optional working directory
add the drive and directory only. Nothing in the parameters. You then move to the
icon page, pick an icon for your program, one that is in the directory that the program
is in. Most likely the icon will be there all ready. That's it....
