  1. DAPTOOLS README

  4. DAPTOOLS are IBM licensed software. Please Do NOT distribute them
  5. through other electronic channels. (See the program license associated
  6. with this package for other restrictions).
  7.  
  8. Availability
  9.  
  10.               DAPTOOLS private developer repositories:
  11.  
  12.               ■ On CompuServe in OS2DF2, LIB 14
  13.               ■ At DAP.SVO.COM (192.195.29.5) on the Internet.
  14.               ■ Through Advantis/IIN account LNK7
  15.  
  16.               Some of the tools are also available on the IBM
  17.               Developer Connection and/or the Device Driver
  18.               Kit CDs.
  19.  
  20.               These are the ONLY official file repositories for
  21.               the tools in the DAPTOOLS library.
  22.  
  23.               If you see DAPTOOLS distributed anywhere else please
  24.               inform the DAPTOOLS Coordinator at either E-mail
  25.               address below.

  30. DAPTOOLS are licensed software programs available to members of IBM's
  31. Developer Assistance Programs only.
  32.  
  33. Membership applications to the worldwide DAP are available from
  34. various OS/2 ftp sites throughout the Internet or from DAP.SVO.COM
  35. (192.195.29.5).  This is a VM host machine which does not allow
  36. anonymous FTP.  However, there are 10 Guest IDs (Guest1..Guest10).
  37. Login with one of the guest IDs with a password of DAP4ME.  The
  38. contents of the directory include the worldwide DAP membership
  39. application, a site "read.me" file, and additional documentation.

  41. IF YOU ARE ALREADY A MEMBER OF THE WORLDWIDE DAP and would like access
  42. to the DAP internet site, fill out the top four lines of the new
  43. wwdap.txt file mentioned above and e-mail it to WWDAP@VNET.IBM.COM .
  44. You will need to know your WWDAP number.

  46. IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF THE WORLDWIDE DAP fill out the complete
  47. "wwdap.txt" file already mentioned (including the top portion) and
  48. e-mail it back to WWDAP@VNET.IBM.COM .

  50. COMPUSERVE USERS NOTE:  If you filled out the "on-line" version of the
  51. questionnaire and you know your WWDAP membership ID number you may send
  52. just the top portion of the wwdap.txt file to WWDAP@VNET.IBM.COM (the
  53. file is located in OS2DF2, Lib 14 - the DAP private section).

  55. All worldwide DAP membership applications, questions and related
  56. information should be directed to WWDAP@VNET.IBM.COM.

  58. DAP Information Library Internet site and DAPTOOLS questions, comments
  59. and/or suggestions should be directed to the DAPTOOLS Coordinator at
  60. either of the following e-mail addresses:

  62. Many of the tools have been a part of the original DAPTOOLS repository
  63. established a few years ago. The package files (a mainframe convention)
  64. associated with each file will give you a clearer idea as to the
  65. suitability of these programs for your purposes. We have not limited the
  66. availability of tools to one operating system (or operating system level
  67. for that matter).

  69. These tools are provided with the sincere hope that they will help you
  70. as a developer in some way or another. We are constantly on the lookout
  71. for programs produced by IBM internal developers to add to this repository.

  74. who have donated their time and talents by contributing their hard-earned
