  5. INSTALLATION

  7.   Start the installation program, GFINST.EXE.  It will prompt you for
  8.   the path in which to copy GFOLDER.DLL and GFOLDER.HLP.  When the
  9.   installation is complete, a new folder object called "Group Folder"
  10.   will appear on your desktop.

  12. INSTALLING GFOLDER ON YOUR SYSTEM FOR THE FIRST TIME *WITHOUT PROMPTING*:

  14.    GFINST path helpPath           Where 'path' is where GFOLDER.DLL
  15.                                   should be copied, 'helpPath' is where
  16.                                   GFOLDER.HLP should be copied.
  17.  
  18.                                   If 'path' = /USELIBPATH, GFOLDER.DLL is
  19.                                   copied to your \OS2\DLL directory and
  20.                                   registered without an explicit path (ie,
  21.                                   LIBPATH is used to find GFOLDER.DLL).

  23.    A progress dialog is displayed during installation.

  25. UPGRADING TO NEW VERSIONS OF THE GROUP FOLDER:
  26.  
  27.   Start the installation program, GFINST.EXE, specify the directory
  28.   which contains the prior version of GFOLDER.DLL, then select
  29.   "Reinstall".  The DLL will be replaced, but will not take effect until
  30.   the next reboot.

  32. ALSO INCLUDE IN THIS PACKAGE:
  33.  
  34.   Included with the package is GFOLDER.CMD.
  35.  
  36.   GFOLDER.CMD is the REXX equivalent of the installation utility
  37.   GFINST.EXE.  It shows how the REXX API can be used to create and
  38.   modify the groups of GFolder.  See "Programming API" in GFolder's 
  39.   online help for more details.
