  6. Welcome to ConfigEdit/2. A (not so) simple configuration system for the OS/2 
  7. config.sys. 
  8.  
  9. ConfigEdit/2 will allow you to auto-generate config.sys files from a Data Base 
  10. of commands. These commands can be either written by hand or imported from an 
  11. existing config.sys file. It can also manage OS/2's Recovery Choices, run 
  12. Tyra/2 on the generated configuration and even get detailed information on 
  13. every config.sys command.

  20. General Information

  22. The first thing you need to do is Import (Ctrl-I) your current config.sys and 
  23. any other config files that you may be using. Remember to Save (Ctrl-S) the 
  24. Data Base. 
  25.  
  26. After you create your Data Base, you can drag-drop whole folders or just parts 
  27. of them to the Config View. Once the Config View has the items that you want, 
  28. you can Generate (Ctrl-G) your new config.sys file.

  30. You can also use your own editor, but remember that you won't be able to open 
  31. multiple items. You can only edit one item at a time.

  33. Also by double-clicking on any config.sys command, you can get detailed 
  34. information about it.
