  3. To use the one month evaluation version of the LJV Utilities, you
  4. must run the SETUP program from the directory in which the
  5. uncompressed utilities reside.
  6.  
  7. The SETUP sets the expiration date for each of the programs so that
  8. they will revert back to their original state one month later.  At
  9. that time (hopefully before) you will have decided to order the
  10. utilities.

  16. The evaluation version of the LJV Utilities come in 2 zip files. 
  17. Please do not change the contents of the zip files.
  18.  
  19. LJV1E.ZIP contains the following files:
  20.  
  21.    ATTR.EXE    File Attribute setting/display utility.
  22.    BGREP.EXE   Binary GREP, allows one to search for HEX patterns in 
  23.                   any file.
  24.    ERA.EXE     A safe erase (delete) program, requests verification 
  25.                   when deleting wildcarded files.
  26.    FCOMP.EXE   An ASCII source file compare utility, allows
  27.                   side-by-side comparisons or you can use the diff format.
  28.    FF.EXE      A file find utility.
  29.    FREE.EXE    A disk utilitization utility.
  30.    VCOMP.EXE   An advanced binary compare utility.  This tool even
  31.                   checks EA's and can display the difference between
  32.                   the files.
  33.    PERF.EXE    A simple disk performance tool.  Useful when setting
  34.                   the sizes of your disk caches.
  35.    RFD.EXE     Ever want to remove full directories and its
  36.                   sub-directories with one command?  This tool will do
  37.                   it.  Has option to bypass prompts.
  38.    SETUP.EXE   This program is required to enable use of all the
  39.                   other executables for the one month evaluation
  40.                   period.

  46. LJV2E.ZIP contains the following files:

  48.    LWHAT.EXE   What string display utility.  Use this tool to list
  49.                   out the version info when reporting back to LJV
  50.                   Consulting.
  51.    LJET.EXE    Laser Jet print utility.  Great for source file
  52.                   listing.  Prints 160 lines up to 132 columns on
  53.                   each page.
  54.    SWEEP.EXE   Utility to allow one to execute simple minded programs
  55.                   that do not handle sub-directories.
  56.    TAB.EXE     Efficiently removes those nasty tab characters from
  57.                   your source files.  Tab will even allow you to put
  58.                   them back in if you really want to.
  59.    TOUCH.EXE   Sets the last modified date/time for the files
  60.                   specified.
  61.    TREE.EXE    Clean directory tree display tool, has option to show
  62.                   size of all files within each directory.
  63.    UPDATE.EXE  Copies files from source to destination if differences
  64.                   are detected.  Prompts for each copy or the prompt
  65.                   can be bypassed. Checks file dates, file contents,
  66.                   and EA's.
  67.    VCD.CMD     Command file to be used with VCDPGM.EXE.
  68.    VCDPGM.EXE  Command line utility to quickly change directories
  69.                   with only partial directory specification. Features
  70.                   a pop up window for selection when multiple matches
  71.                   occur.  Also features a full screen mode with some
  72.                   NCD like features.
  73.    VDIR.EXE    Visual directory lister.  This tool features color
  74.                   coding based on extension and detection and display
  75.                   of EA's associated with any file.
  76.    SETUP.EXE   This program is required to enable use of all the
  77.                   other executables for the one month evaluation
