  2. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. About CfgEdit ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  4. CfgEdit is a Presentation Manager application which you can use to faultlessly 
  5. update your system configuration file, CONFIG.SYS. 
  6.  
  7. It will only let you enter valid statements for CONFIG.SYS, and will 
  8. automatically check your changes as they are made. It will check the file 
  9. integrity when it is saved or closed for any errors or inconsistencies 
  10.  
  11.  
  12. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. File Menu ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
  13.  
  14. The File menu contains commands that you use to create, open, and save data 
  15. files. In addition, it also contains the command that you use to exit the 
  16. Sample application. The following commands appear in the File menu: 
  17.  
  18. New            Creates a new untitled file 
  19.  
  20. Open           Opens an existing file 
  21.  
  22. Save           Saves any changes to current file 
  23.  
  24. Save As        Saves the current file using a new name 
  25.  
  26. Exit           Quits the Sample application 
  27.

  29. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 3. New ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  31.  You can create a new file in the Sample application window by using the New 
  32. command. To create a new file, do the following:

  34. o Select the File menu and choose the New command.

  36.  The word "Untitled" appears in the title bar of the new file.

  41. You can open a file that exists on any drive or in any directory by using the 
  42. Open command. To open a file, do the following:

  44. o Select the File menu and choose the Open command.

  46. A dialog box appears, showing you a list of files in the current directory.

  51. You use the Save command to save changes you've made to your file. To save 
  52. changes to the current file, do the following:

  59. You use the Save As command to name and save a new file.

  65. A dialog box appears, prompting you for a new filename.
