  4. This program is a BETA version of a product soon to be finished.
  5. PLEASE let me know about any ideas you may have, or problems.

  9. Its aim is to allow you to edit your config.sys file without the
  10. worry of 'stuffing' it up easily.

  12. In this version, the following statements can be checked :-
  13. AUTOFAIL, BASEDEV, BREAK, BUFFERS, CALL, DEVICE, PROTSHELL,
  14. COUNTRY, DEVICEHIGH, DEVINFO, DISKCACHE,
  15. FILES, KEYS, PRIORITY_DISK_IO,
  16. PROTECTONLY, LIBPATH, Set statements that are directory paths
  17. such as PATH, DPATH, HELP, BOOKSHELF.

  19. In this version, the only statements that can be changed are:-
  20.  
  21. AUTOFAIL, BASEDEV, BREAK, BUFFERS, KEYS, PRIORITY_DISK_IO,
  22. PROTECTONLY, LIBPATH, Set statements that are directory paths
  23. such as PATH, DPATH, HELP, BOOKSHELF.

  25. The Help button uses the command reference to 'educate' you on what
  26. a certain part of the config.sys file does.
  27.  
  28. Please note that the help is not yet completed and as such, try not
  29. to hassle me about it too much.

  31. AUTOMATIC BACKUP
  32. ----------------
  33.   - If you edit your config.sys file using this program, it will
  34. create a backup for you (from config.000 to config.fff) each time you
  35. attempt to overwrite it.

  37. FUTURE WORK
  38. -----------
  39.   - Soon all CONFIG.SYS statements will be supported, the Help finished,
  40. and the code 'cleaned'.
  41.   - Workplace shell abilities are planned, but I need the Technical Library
  42. to get it going as I can't get any decent sample WPS *apps* from the TOOLKIT.
  43.   - Comparing Config.sys files is being considered.
  44.   - An undo feature is planned.
  45.   - You tell me??!!
