  1. This is the README for the IBM UIC.
  2.  
  3. These DLL files are necessary for OS/2 PM applications
  4. that have been compiled to use the IBM User Interface
  5. Class libraries.  For most experienced OS/2 shareware
  6. gurus, this is equivalent (I think?) to the EMX.DLL
  7. which is often needed for software compiled using the
  8. GNU compiler.
  9.  
  10. To make these files available to applications needing
  11. them, you need to do one (or both) of the following:
  12.  
  13.    (1)  add the directory name where these files are
  14.         stored to your LIBPATH statement in your
  15.         OS/2 CONFIG.SYS file,
  16.  
  17.    (2)  put these files in the same directory as the
  18.         application(s) that needs them, and run the
  19.         programme from that exact directory.
  20.  
  21. The 3 files I have placed in this archive are the full,
  22. unmodified version, as provided by IBM, for applications
  23. that require them.
