  1. The partition selection screen presents a list of the possible partitions
  2. which can be modified to allow the installation of the Boot Manager program.
  3. Partitions are identified by their volume lable.  In addition, the type of
  4. partition (primary or extended) and the total size of the partition is also
  5. given.  Finally, the status of the partition (available or unavailable) for
  6. the installation of the Boot Manager program is given.

  8. Availability of a partition for installation of the Boot Manager program is
  9. governed by the availability of sufficient free space (unused by files and
  10. not marked as "bad" during formatting) at the end of the partition.  The 
  11. exact amount of space needed is calculated by MKBMPART based on the user
  12. selected installation strategy.  If a partition that you think should be 
  13. available shows up as unavailable, check to see if it contains any hidden
  14. files or bad clusters that may conflict with the installation of the Boot
  15. Manager program.
