  1. File LaTeX2e.INF enables one to read the LaTeX2e documentation by means of the 
  2.   OS/2 hypertext format (INF). 
  3. File LaTeX2e.NDX onables one to use Ctrl-H in editor EPM to get info about the 
  4.   (La)TeX command under the curso (that's analogous to Ctrl-F1 in Borlands). 
  5.  
  6. File LaTeX2e.INF was converted from the LaTeX2e.texinfo (.texinfo -> .ipf ->
  7. -> .inf).  I added the index file .NDX. 
  8.  
  9. Installation:
  10.  
  11. 1. Place LaTeX2e.INF and LaTeX2e.ndx in directory \emtex\book\english 
  12. 2. Add these to CONFIG.SYS:
  13.        SET BOOKSHELF=..;e:\emtex\book\english
  14.        SET EPMPATH=...;e:\emtex\book\english 
  15.        SET HELPNDX=...+LaTeX2e.NDX

  17. Technical note: I made LaTeX2e.ndx by the following procedure:
  18.  
  19. 1. Chapter "List of commands" from file LaTeX2e.INF was saved to disk
  20.    text.tmp (hot key Ctrl-F)
  21. 2. I wrote the enclosed awk script to produce LaTeX2e.ndx:
  22.    awk -f tmp2ndx <text.tmp >LaTeX2e.ndx
  23. 3. I added some commands which were not listed in "List of commands". 
  24.    They are present from the 3rd line till the line with $:
  25.    ($, view LaTeX2e  Math Formulae)

  27. 4. if you find other undocumented latex2e commands, mail them to me, please.
