  4.  These macros are an update of macros that were uploaded to the 
  5.  DeScribe forum (PCVENA) on CompuServe and to the OS/2 Shareware
  6.  BBS in Northern Virginia in April '93.

  29.  Please read the FOOTNOTE.DOC file for instruction on use. The
  30.  installation of the macros is straightforward:

  33.  Installation 
  34.  
  35.  Step 1       Copy all files included in the ZIP file into the
  36.               \DESCRIBE\MACROS subdirectory. (you don't need readme.txt)
  37.  
  38.  Step 2       Start DeScribe and close the Default Document.
  39.  
  40.  Step 3       Open   \DESCRIBE\MACROS\FOOTINST.ALL 
  41.  
  42.  Step 4       Compile FOOTINST.ALL by typing
  43.               <ALT><O>,<A>,<M> or using the menus.
  44.  
  45.  Step 5       Run the FOOTINST.ALL macro by typing <ALT><O>,<A>,<P> 
  46.               and selecting FOOTINST.ALL from the list box, or use 
  47.               the menu with the mouse to select it.
  48.  
  49.  Step 6       FOOTINST.ALL is an automatic installation macro that 
  50.               opens FOOTNOTE.DOC and then each of the footnote macros. 
  51.               The macros are compiled, saved, and closed in sequence.
  52.  
  53.  Step 7       Although the macros are now compiled and able to be used,
  54.               installing them on the Menu bar and/or assigning soft 
  55.               keys to the most used macros actually makes them "usable".
  56.               I recommend both. I don't think that the use of the Custom
  57.               Tools for these macros is a good approach.

  60.  Any feedback on the usefulness of the macros or suggestions and complaints
  61.  (especially complaints) would really be appreciated.
