Footnotes for DeScribe November 7, 1993 These macros are an update of macros that were uploaded to the DeScribe forum (PCVENA) on CompuServe and to the OS/2 Shareware BBS in Northern Virginia in April '93. The following files should be included in this ZIP file: 11-07-93 6:17p 205 171 footblok 11-07-93 6:17p 8649 158 footchk 11-07-93 6:17p 204 158 footclr 11-07-93 6:17p 176 159 foothide 11-07-93 6:16p 22067 1059 footinst.all 11-07-93 6:17p 99 159 footjbck 11-07-93 6:17p 103 171 footjfwd 11-07-93 6:17p 188 171 footjtfr 11-07-93 6:17p 255 159 footjtrf 11-07-93 6:17p 1454 171 footline 11-07-93 6:17p 90 159 footlist 11-07-93 6:17p 952 30 footmess 11-07-93 6:17p 12920 171 footnote 11-07-93 6:17p 96369 1059 footnote.doc 11-07-93 6:17p 216 159 footshow 11-07-93 6:17p 29989 171 footstrt 11-07-93 6:17p 898 171 foottype 11-07-93 6:43p 2812 35 README.TXT Please read the FOOTNOTE.DOC file for instruction on use. The installation of the macros is straightforward: Installation Step 1 Copy all files included in the ZIP file into the \DESCRIBE\MACROS subdirectory. (you don't need readme.txt) Step 2 Start DeScribe and close the Default Document. Step 3 Open \DESCRIBE\MACROS\FOOTINST.ALL Step 4 Compile FOOTINST.ALL by typing ,, or using the menus. Step 5 Run the FOOTINST.ALL macro by typing ,,

and selecting FOOTINST.ALL from the list box, or use the menu with the mouse to select it. Step 6 FOOTINST.ALL is an automatic installation macro that opens FOOTNOTE.DOC and then each of the footnote macros. The macros are compiled, saved, and closed in sequence. Step 7 Although the macros are now compiled and able to be used, installing them on the Menu bar and/or assigning soft keys to the most used macros actually makes them "usable". I recommend both. I don't think that the use of the Custom Tools for these macros is a good approach. Any feedback on the usefulness of the macros or suggestions and complaints (especially complaints) would really be appreciated.
