  6. This document BRIEFLY describes new features and functions in
  7. FrontDoor 2.26.SW since version 2.25.SW. An attempt has been made to
  8. keep the list as concise and as to the point as possible.
  9.  
  10. For more detailed information about corrected problems and bugs since
  11. 2.25.SW, please refer to FDFIXES.226.

  14. Various notes
  15. =============
  16. (*) There is now a native (32-bit) OS/2 version available of FrontDoor
  17.     2.26.SW!
  18.  
  19. (*) Our postal address and telephone numbers have changed.

  22. FD (Mailer)
  23. ===========

  25. (*) FD now supports the use of $[]-style macros in the DIAL .. END
  26.     section of FDNODE.CTL. This will allow calling prefixes, etc. to
  27.     be set dynamically (changed at specific times of the day for
  28.     example).
  29.     
  30. (*) FD will now create the semaphore FDTIMSNC.nnn in the semaphore
  31.     directory as soon as it has synchronized its time from a remote
  32.     time source. This semaphore can then be used in batch files and
  33.     by other programs to update network servers, etc.

  37. FM (Editor)

  40. (*) FM should no longer allow a JAM-type folder to be selected (in any
  41.     given situation) if FDOPT contains NOJAM or /NOJAM is specified
  42.     on the command-line.

  44. (*) FM's parsing code for .CCL files has been made more tolerant to
  45.     leading and trailing whitespace; this should allow for the
  46.     contents of .CCL files to be evenly formatted/aligned.

  49. FDNC (Nodelist compiler/manager)

  62.     modified so that it is possible to specify leading and trailing
  63.     spaces for all strings that are not terminated by a vertical bar
  64.     (|) character. This should allow for software that requires a
  65.     space in dial prefixes, etc. to allow "Vmodem" (Internet)
  66.     connections.
