  6. This document describes most of the major new features and functions,
  7. as well as some minor corrections and additions, in FrontDoor 2.26.SW
  8. since version 2.25.SW (released on 16-Jun-98).
  9.

  14. Various notes
  15. =============
  16.  
  17. (*) There is now a native (32-bit) OS/2 version available of FrontDoor
  18.     2.26.SW!
  19.  
  20. (*) Our postal address and telephone numbers have changed.

  23. FD (Mailer)
  24. ===========
  25.  
  26. (*) FD now supports the use of $[]-style macros in the DIAL .. END
  27.     section of FDNODE.CTL. This will allow calling prefixes, etc. to
  28.     be set dynamically (changed at specific times of the day for
  29.     example).

  31. (*) Improved handling of STQ (STatic Queue) SPOOL entries.
  32.  
  33. (*) Corrected handling of HUB-ROUTE and HOST-ROUTE commands in regards
  34.     to the points of a hub.
  35.     
  36. (*) FD will now create the semaphore FDTIMSNC.0 in the semaphore
  37.     directory as soon as it has synchronized its time from a remote
  38.     time source. This semaphore can then be used in batch files and
  39.     by other programs to update network servers, etc.

  42. (*) The nodelist browser has been modified to show "??" for stray node
  43.     and point entries when browsing the Zone and Net levels.

  45. (*) The way FD "bumps" ARCmail filenames when receiving a duplicate
  46.     filename has been modified so that the .MO9 extension is bumped to
  47.     .MOA and .MOZ is bumped to .MO0.

  49. (*) Fixed FD to properly handle the "CONNECTING", "ALERTING", and
  50.     "CALL SENT" modem responses during inbound calls.

  53. FM (Editor)

  56. (*) FM should no longer allow a JAM-type folder to be selected (in any
  57.     given situation) if FDOPT contains NOJAM or /NOJAM is specified
  58.     on the command-line.

  60. (*) The problem with macro definitions that expand to more than 150
  61.     characters being truncated has been fixed.
  62.  
  63. (*) FM's JAM handling code has been made somewhat more bullet-proof
  64.     against corrupt JAM message bases.

  66. (*) The nodelist browser has been modified to show "??" for stray node
  67.     and point entries when browsing the Zone and Net levels.

  69. (*) FM's parsing code for .CCL files has been made more tolerant to
  70.     leading and trailing whitespace; this should allow for the
  71.     contents of .CCL files to be evenly formatted/aligned.

  90.     modified so that it is possible to specify leading and trailing
  91.     spaces for all strings that are not terminated by a vertical bar
  92.     (|) character. This should allow for software that requires a
  93.     space in dial prefixes, etc. to allow "Vmodem" (Internet)
  94.     connections.
