  8. There are two PlugIn modules for CuSeeMe/2, both of which support B&W
  9. and Colour cameras.
  10.  
  11. 1) QV2CUCME.DLL - An Interface between QV2 and CuSeeMe/2.
  12.  
  13. This requires the QuickCam Viewer, QV2, which must be running to feed
  14. the picture it is currently displaying to the interface. CuSeeMe/2
  15. fetches this picture from the Interface. The advantage is that the
  16. full flexibility of QV2 can be used to size the picture and adjust
  17. camera settings. There is no camera control via the CuSeeMe/2 Local
  18. Video Setup dialog.

  20. 2) QVCUSOLO.DLL - A StandAlone plugin which only requires the supplied
  21. device-driver and support DLLs to be available.

  23. This has the advantage that it does nothing until CuSeeMe/2 requests
  24. a picture. The CuSeeMe/2 Setup dialog on the Local Video window
  25. provides support for adjusting camera controls. Where a colour camera
  26. is detected a thumbnail picture is displayed in colour to enable
  27. camera settings to be set accurately.

  30. Installation:

  33. Note that the installation routine for the QuickCam Viewer, QV2, must
  34. be run to install the device-driver and set appropriate CONFIG.SYS
  35. entries. A reboot will be required to make the changes effective.

  37. Installing the PlugIns for use with CuSeeMe/2 is performed using
  38. CuSeeMe/2 PlugIn Centre.
