PCBFV Version 3.5 Copyright 1990-1993 Yandell Computer Services
PCBFV is a seamless, compressed File Viewer for use in the PCBoard
F V shell. It allows file reading and extraction for individual
downloading. Every option is HIGHLY Sysop configurable with the
enclosed, easy to use FVSETUP program.
The many powerful features and operating procedures of PCBFV are
described in detail in PCBFV.DOC and FEATURES.NEW.
QUICK.DOC is not intended as a replacement for PCBFV.DOC. QUICK.DOC
allows you to QUICKLY install PCBFV and see its powerful, high
quality features. You may then decide if you wish to completely
install PCBFV on a customized basis using the detailed information
contained in PCBFV.DOC.
-[ Step 1 ]----------------
PCBVIEW.BAT contains:
@echo off
C:\PCBFV\PCBFV.EXE PCBFV.CNF %1
^^^^^^^^^
Placing the location in-line allows one .EXE to be used instead of
requiring a PCBFV.EXE on every node. NEVER change to another drive
or directory in PCBVIEW.BAT - always call PCBFV as shown above.
PCBFV.EXE, PCBFV.CNF, FVHLP, and FVMNU must all reside in the same
location.
-[ Step 2 ]----------------
Run:
FVSETUP PCBFV.CNF
> Pressing F1 while editing a parameter will display a help screen!
If you are a multi-node system, you may use the @NODE@ macro in the
2 FVSETUP questions below. On multi-node systems PCBFV will replace
@NODE@ with the actual node number:
* Work location of extracted file : C:\WORK@NODE@\
* Loc\Name of new (F)lagged file : C:\UPLOAD\FLAG@NODE@.ZIP
When modifying PCBFV.CNF file(s), use ONLY the enclosed FVSETUP.EXE.
PCBFV.DOC explains other methods of setting up your PCBVIEW.BAT and
PCBFV.CNF files if the above method is not suitable for your system.
There are MANY other features which QUICK.DOC does not cover which
enhance PCBFV operation. Instructions for these features are located
in PCBFV.DOC.
