  15. This gzipped tar archive is suitable for creating a source and binary
  16. RPM package for C-Kermit version 5a.190 from Columbia University.  All
  17. you need to do is retrieve the source archive from the location
  18. mentioned in the spec file, put them in your RPM `sources' directory,
  19. change to the RPM `specs' directory, and build using the command:
  20.  
  21.     rpm -ba --clean ckermit-5a.190.spec
  22.  
  23. This will compile the sources, including the patches from the spec
  24. archive, and build both the source and binary RPM packages.  You can
  25. then use the RPM packages to install/uninstall C-Kermit on your own or
  26. other machines.
