  4. Butterscotch Brownies

  6. 1/4 c. butter            1 tsp. baking powder
  7. 1 c. brown sugar (dark)        1/2 tsp. vanilla
  8. 1 egg                1/2 c. chopped nuts
  9. 3/4 c. flour

  11. Melt butter, add other ingredients.  Spread in greased 8" x 8"
  12. pan.  Bake 25 minutes at 350.

  14. Note:  I haven't had these in a long, long time, but i seem to
  15. remember my mom adding butterscotch chips.  You could substitute
  16. chocolate chips if you want.

  18. I would also sift the baking powder and flour together first
  19. then add it to the mixed wet ingredients.
