  1. Meeting Notes

  5. Tom Veile didn't show up this time, so we did not have a report 
  6. from the old treasurer, nor the changing of the guard to Tom 
  7. Mannion (you'd think your name would have to be Tom to be a 
  8. treasurer in this group ;'>). Tom M. (who missed the election 
  9. meeting) was pleasantly surprised to find out that he is the new 
  10. treasurer (remember, if you don't show for the elections, *you* 
  11. might get elected!).
  12.  
  13. The YASBEC was brought up again. We would like to have the group 
  14. recognized as the official YASBEC support group. Lee mentioned 
  15. that he might run the Mouse House BBS on the board that he 
  16. ordered the day before this meeting.
  17.  
  18. Steve Dresser brought up the fact that there is a file 
  19. (YASBEC.LBR) that has a complete description of parts & source to 
  20. create this little marvel, on Lee's board, Mouse House (203-665-
  21. 1100).
  22.  
  23. The ZED Fest is looking mighty attractive to many people, 
  24. including this secretary. A mailing by Lee was recently sent out, 
  25. with details and a map, to 150 people.
  26.  
  27. Steve Dresser would like to have future meetings not only 
  28. structured around what he would like to see, but he is soliciting 
  29. suggestions from the group members as to what topics would be 
  30. covered in the coming months. He wants people's opinions, 
  31. feedback, and ideas to make this a good year for us.
  32.  
  33. A Packet radio demonstration was proposed for January. 
  34. Coordination of this particular meeting will be in the works.
  35.  
  36. At 7:15 Lee distributed a handout on aliases and gave a very 
  37. thorough demonstration of this handy Z-System extension.
  38.  
  39. Those in attendance were: Eric Palm, Stephen Griswold, Tom 
  40. Mannion, Sigurd Kimpel, Ray Brown, Lee Bradley, Steve Dresser, 
  41. Jim Taylor, and Bob Bates.
  42.  
  43. At 8:50pm the formal part of the meeting came to a close. From 
  44. there many of us adjourned to George's Family Restaurant for 
  45. beer, pizza, coffee, and soda.
  46.  
  47. (A little note on the taped playback of the meeting. I, Eric 
  48. Palm, tend to babble, and breath hard. Oh well you live and 
  49. learn!)
