Meeting Notes
by Eric Palm, Secretary
October '91
Tom Veile didn't show up this time, so we did not have a report
from the old treasurer, nor the changing of the guard to Tom
Mannion (you'd think your name would have to be Tom to be a
treasurer in this group ;'>). Tom M. (who missed the election
meeting) was pleasantly surprised to find out that he is the new
treasurer (remember, if you don't show for the elections, *you*
might get elected!).
The YASBEC was brought up again. We would like to have the group
recognized as the official YASBEC support group. Lee mentioned
that he might run the Mouse House BBS on the board that he
ordered the day before this meeting.
Steve Dresser brought up the fact that there is a file
(YASBEC.LBR) that has a complete description of parts & source to
create this little marvel, on Lee's board, Mouse House (203-665-
1100).
The ZED Fest is looking mighty attractive to many people,
including this secretary. A mailing by Lee was recently sent out,
with details and a map, to 150 people.
Steve Dresser would like to have future meetings not only
structured around what he would like to see, but he is soliciting
suggestions from the group members as to what topics would be
covered in the coming months. He wants people's opinions,
feedback, and ideas to make this a good year for us.
A Packet radio demonstration was proposed for January.
Coordination of this particular meeting will be in the works.
At 7:15 Lee distributed a handout on aliases and gave a very
thorough demonstration of this handy Z-System extension.
Those in attendance were: Eric Palm, Stephen Griswold, Tom
Mannion, Sigurd Kimpel, Ray Brown, Lee Bradley, Steve Dresser,
Jim Taylor, and Bob Bates.
At 8:50pm the formal part of the meeting came to a close. From
there many of us adjourned to George's Family Restaurant for
beer, pizza, coffee, and soda.
(A little note on the taped playback of the meeting. I, Eric
Palm, tend to babble, and breath hard. Oh well you live and
learn!)
