  1. Installing "The National Palace Museum Experience"
  2.  
  3. 1. Please ensure that the CD drive, sound card, speaker and other
  4. hardware peripherals are correctly installed, that the Microsoft
  5. Windows environment has been set to 32000 or 64000 colors (High
  6. color), that the sound card can play an 8-bit 22 KHz sound file,
  7. and that the CD drive can play the CD-ROM.

  9. 2. Insert the "The National Palace Museum Experience" CD-ROM in 
  10. the CD drive. 
  11.  
  12. 3. Quick Time for Windows must be installed prior to using this
  13. CD-ROM.  In Windows 95 this CD-ROM installs automatically, please
  14. follow the on-screen instructions.  If automatic installation
  15. cannot be activated, please key in E:\setup.exe (where E is the
  16. CD drive pathway) to install the program.

  20. Starting up "The National Palace Museum Experience"
  21.  
  22. 1. Boot the computer and enter the Microsoft Windows 95
  23. environment.  Insert the "The National Palace Museum Experience" 
  24. CD-ROM into the CD drive, and the CD-ROM will execute automatically.

  26. 2. You can also directly execute E:\start.exe or alternatively
  27. choose the "Palace Museum" group in the Program Manager screen 
  28. and click on the "Museum Experience" icon.

  32. How to use the "The National Palace Museum Experience" 
  33. installation program
  34.  
  35. 1. This product will only execute in a Windows 95 environment
  36. running on a Pentium 75 (or better) processor.  
  37.  
  38. 2. Minimum requirements: Pentium 75, 16MB memory, 4x CD drive,
  39. Windows 95 compatible sound card, Windows 95 640x480 desktop,
  40. High Color (16 bit) video card.  
  41.  
  42. 3. The first time you run this CD-ROM, it will enter the
  43. "The National Palace Museum Experience" pre-set program with 
  44. automatic installation. If this CD-ROM is inserted into the CD 
  45. drive but Windows 95 will not run it, it may be either that the 
  46. Windows 95 "automatic execute" function is ineffective or that 
  47. the CD drive is not reading properly (see below, item 12).

  49. 4. The installation program will install Quicktime for Windows
  50. 32-bit editions.  If you are sure these are already installed, 
  51. and that they are version 2.1.2 or better, you can skip the 
  52. installation by selecting Disagree at the time of installation.
  53. If unsure, select Agree to install.

  55. 5. If you have already installed the "The National Palace Museum 
  56. Experience" program and wish to enter it again, just insert the 
  57. CD-ROM in the CD drive and "The National Palace Museum Experience"
  58. will boot.

  62. "The National Palace Museum Experience" installation program:

  64. 6. In the operating system directory, the following content will
  65. be added to LeeLee.ini
  66.    [Focus]
  67.    Version=870701
  68.    ExeFile=E:\Start.EXE

  70. 7. Quicktime for Windows 32-bit version 2.1.2 will be installed.

  72. 8. A "Palace Museum" directory and "The National Palace Museum 
  73. Experience" shortcut will be added to the Start button drop-down 
  74. menu.

  76. 9. Qtvrw32.qtc will be added to the System directory in the
  77. operating system directory.

  81. Problems that may be encountered while using "The National Palace 
  82. Museum Experience":

  84. 11. If you can run "The National Palace Museum Experience" but 
  85. the picture colors are wrong, please click on the Windows 95 Start 
  86. button, then click on Settings - Control Panel - Monitor - Settings 
  87. to set the color card to High Color (16 bit), and set the desktop 
  88. to 640x480.  Please use True Color (32 bit) to avoid any risk of 
  89. insufficient memory.

  91. 12. If "The National Palace Museum Experience" runs normally, 
  92. but the overall speed is slow, please check that your computer 
  93. has at least 16MB of memory and a 4x speed CD drive.  If so, 
  94. please adjust the operating efficiency of your Windows 95 as 
  95. explained in the Windows 95 user handbook.

  97. 13. If a "File Not Found" message appears when running "The 
  98. National Palace Museum Experience", try running the CD-ROM on 
  99. another CD drive.  If it runs okay it may be that your CD drive 
  100. is faulty, in which case please consult your CD drive supplier.
