Installing "The National Palace Museum Experience" 1. Please ensure that the CD drive, sound card, speaker and other hardware peripherals are correctly installed, that the Microsoft Windows environment has been set to 32000 or 64000 colors (High color), that the sound card can play an 8-bit 22 KHz sound file, and that the CD drive can play the CD-ROM. 2. Insert the "The National Palace Museum Experience" CD-ROM in the CD drive. 3. Quick Time for Windows must be installed prior to using this CD-ROM. In Windows 95 this CD-ROM installs automatically, please follow the on-screen instructions. If automatic installation cannot be activated, please key in E:\setup.exe (where E is the CD drive pathway) to install the program. Starting up "The National Palace Museum Experience" 1. Boot the computer and enter the Microsoft Windows 95 environment. Insert the "The National Palace Museum Experience" CD-ROM into the CD drive, and the CD-ROM will execute automatically. 2. You can also directly execute E:\start.exe or alternatively choose the "Palace Museum" group in the Program Manager screen and click on the "Museum Experience" icon. How to use the "The National Palace Museum Experience" installation program 1. This product will only execute in a Windows 95 environment running on a Pentium 75 (or better) processor. 2. Minimum requirements: Pentium 75, 16MB memory, 4x CD drive, Windows 95 compatible sound card, Windows 95 640x480 desktop, High Color (16 bit) video card. 3. The first time you run this CD-ROM, it will enter the "The National Palace Museum Experience" pre-set program with automatic installation. If this CD-ROM is inserted into the CD drive but Windows 95 will not run it, it may be either that the Windows 95 "automatic execute" function is ineffective or that the CD drive is not reading properly (see below, item 12). 4. The installation program will install Quicktime for Windows 32-bit editions. If you are sure these are already installed, and that they are version 2.1.2 or better, you can skip the installation by selecting Disagree at the time of installation. If unsure, select Agree to install. 5. If you have already installed the "The National Palace Museum Experience" program and wish to enter it again, just insert the CD-ROM in the CD drive and "The National Palace Museum Experience" will boot. "The National Palace Museum Experience" installation program: 6. In the operating system directory, the following content will be added to LeeLee.ini [Focus] Version=870701 ExeFile=E:\Start.EXE 7. Quicktime for Windows 32-bit version 2.1.2 will be installed. 8. A "Palace Museum" directory and "The National Palace Museum Experience" shortcut will be added to the Start button drop-down menu. 9. Qtvrw32.qtc will be added to the System directory in the operating system directory. Problems that may be encountered while using "The National Palace Museum Experience": 11. If you can run "The National Palace Museum Experience" but the picture colors are wrong, please click on the Windows 95 Start button, then click on Settings - Control Panel - Monitor - Settings to set the color card to High Color (16 bit), and set the desktop to 640x480. Please use True Color (32 bit) to avoid any risk of insufficient memory. 12. If "The National Palace Museum Experience" runs normally, but the overall speed is slow, please check that your computer has at least 16MB of memory and a 4x speed CD drive. If so, please adjust the operating efficiency of your Windows 95 as explained in the Windows 95 user handbook. 13. If a "File Not Found" message appears when running "The National Palace Museum Experience", try running the CD-ROM on another CD drive. If it runs okay it may be that your CD drive is faulty, in which case please consult your CD drive supplier. If there is still a problem, please contact Lee & Lee Communications.
