Delete .BMP files from your Windows directory that are used only for wallpaper.
Consider deleting help (.HLP) files if your copy of the printed documentation contains the information in the files.
If you are not already using drive compression software, consider using a compression utility such as PKZIP to compress infrequently used files.
If you are already using drive compression software, you might try increasing the size of the compressed drive, or moving files from the host drive onto the compressed drive.
Also, delete older games or applications you don't use anymore. They may contain large bitmaps, which could occupy up to several megabytes of hard disk space.
