The Virus Scan sensor in Norton System Doctor has detected that your computer is infected with a virus. While Norton System Doctor is capable of detecting a virus in memory, it is not designed to eliminate the virus. To eliminate the virus, you'll need to run an antivirus program such as Norton AntiVirus for Windows 95 on your hard and floppy disk(s). Warning: If Norton System Doctor detects a virus in memory, you should use your write-protected Rescue Disk, Windows 95 Startup disk or a write-protected DOS 3.1 or higher system disk to reboot your computer before running your antivirus program and remove the virus. You can also create a bootable floppy disk on an uninfected computer that uses DOS 3.1 or higher. See your system manual for directions. (Don't use the infected computer; the virus could infect the bootable floppy disk you are trying to create.)
If you have a virus-infected file, you should not use the infected file, or it may infect other files on your system or cause other damage. If you do not have an antivirus program, you can delete the file to remove the infection.
If you have a system memory virus, it means that your computer has a virus in its system memory the virus has been activated, is potentially spreading to other files and disks, and, in the worst cases, is damaging files. If your system has a boot-record virus, it means that a virus has attacked boot records and master boot records on your hard disk. To eliminate a system memory or boot record virus, you'll need to run an antivirus program on your hard disk(s). You should scan all of your floppy disks with an antivirus program to ensure that you don't re-infect your disk in the future.
