=== XRSDoor (R) v 2.11/fixes and adjustments ===
1) Both the "Lost Carrier" and "User TimeOut" error exits take the low-level
_exit() procedure out of the program instead of exit(), although the FOSSIL
*is* de-initialized in both cases.
2) XRSDoor flushes the FOSSIL input and output buffers at each initialization.
3) XRSDoor places the correct value into "ACCESSx.XRS" to indicate that a user
has read access ability, but cannot write.
4) Both "Force xx" and "Lockout xx" parameters are properly and fully handled
- you may put up to ten (each on a separate line!) of each type parm in
QMXSETUP.CFG to either "Force xx" or "Lockout xx" for up to ten areas each.
Note that a user cannot 'unselect' a FORCED area, nor can he select an area
that is "LOCKOUT" at all - in the first case the area will be always on (and
shown in reverse to distinguish it), in the latter, it will never be seen.
If a user tries to unselect an area you "FORCE", they will get an error
message (and it will remain selected). The 'xx' in the parameter line *must*
be an area _number_.
5) First-time users are automatically forced to select through "All" areas
(instead of optionally only "Areas with New Mail"), just as they are already
forced to "<C>onfigure" before "<P>ack" or "<U>pload". If you "FORCE xx" any
areas, these are shown as "SysOp Required Area", the 'extended desription' is
displayed (user doesn't get the "Y/N/?" prompt), and it is selected.
6) "Hide BBS" parameter in QMXSETUP.CFG works - a mailbag is created that
results in an 'annonymous' BBS type (actually none) in origin lines when using
XRS 4.52 or later.
7) Works properly with the new RA 1.20/beta'A' "MESSAGES.RA" file format which
supports up to 65535 areas - however, at least for right now, the XRSDoor only
looks at the first 200, and assumes each group is numbered in order from 1 to
200 (which isn't necessarilly going to be true). Support will be extended to
1023 selected from 65535 areas (or whatever the final RA 1.20 limits it to).
8) The "Barricade" checking is enabled and supported under RA 1.20/beta'x'
which uses the new MESSAGES.RA (and FILES.RA) file format. XRSDoor reports
"no longer have the keys for..." if the original flag check fails, and now it
reports "have been barricaded from..." if the new type flag check fails. The
three possible message when security fails are now:
FLAG Fails Security Check: You no longer have the keys for group xx...
LEVEL Fails Security Check: You no longer have access to group xx...
FLAG Fails Security Check: You have been barricaded from group xx...
Of course, the latter is possible only under RA 1.20/beta'x' as of now.
9) XRSDoor knows about and properly utilizes RA 1.20/beta"B" and higher format
USERS.BBS files. XRSDoor 2.11/beta6 or higher will *NOT* work properly with
RA 1.20/beta"A" or earlier, but does work fine with RA 1.11 released version!
This includes a kludge to get around the fact that the EXITINFO.BBS is missing
the "HighMsgRead" marker.
10) XRSDOOR!.EXE only runs on true 80286 or higher processors - not 80186 nor
NEC V20/V30 chips...
11) Copyright updated to include 1993.
12) "Packbags v 1.1" is included, which works properly with RA 1.20/beta'B' or
higher or RA 1.11 or lower, and QuickBBS or SuperBBS. It *REQUIRES* that you
put "RA120" into your QMXSETUP.CFG file for it to 'know' it should create RA
1.20 (beta "B"+) files layout EXITINFO.BBS and read the new format USERS.BBS
file. This parameter is not required if you aren't using "PackBags".

* Note: I have taken over responsibility for maintaining Mark May's "MkXrs" *
program (which directly imports mail while users are still online) and will
* put out a new 1.1 version which is RA 1.20-compatible within a few weeks! *
