  20.         The Personal Ancestry File (PAF) genealogy system marketed by The
  21.         Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints is the most
  22.         popular genealogy program on the market today.  One of its
  23.         shortcomings, however, it that it offers no way to search its
  24.         files for marriage data.  MARRIAGE SEARCH WAS WRITTEN to overcome
  25.         this problem.  The  following is a brief listing of the options:

  27.         1. Path - lets you enter the path to the PAF files and save it for
  28.            later usage if desired.
  29.  
  30.         2. Location - allows the user to enter a marriage location for
  31.            which to limit the search.  For instance if you enter al in the
  32.            location field, marriages from ALabama; MarshALl Co., TN;
  33.            ALice, TX;  etc. would be found if they were in the files.

  35.         3. Low date - allows the user to set a lower date for which to 
  36.            limit the search.
  37.  
  38.         4. High date - allows the user to set an upper date for which to 
  39.            limit the search.
  40.  
  41.         5. Groom's name - allows the user to enter a name (or portion of
  42.            a name) for which to limit the search.

  44.         6. Bride's name - allows the user to enter a name (or portion of
  45.            a name) for which to limit the search.

  47.         7. Output - allows the user to direct the output to screen, disk,
  48.            or printer.
