  26.         FRASC converts the information in your PAF files into standard
  27.         ASCII format to make it usable by other programs.

  32.         FRASC  converts  PAF  Family Records  data  into  a standard 
  33.         ASCII  data  format  that  can  be  loaded by  database management
  34.         programs such as  dBASE III and spreadsheets such as Excel or
  35.         Lotus 123.  There are two possible formats for the converted data: 
  36.         CSV and fixed length.   In delimited format each field is begun
  37.         and ended with a quote mark, and the fields are  separated by
  38.         commas.  In  the fixed length format each field is  placed in  a
  39.         fixed  length field,  forming  columns  of  data.

  41.         Four files are produced:
  42.         (1) FR.IND with data from the individual file
  43.         (2) FR.MAR which contains data from the file of marriages
  44.         (3) FR.NOT  containing  data from the notes file
  45.         (4) FR.EVT with event records
  46.  
  47.         The fields in each of the files is detailed in FRASC's
  48.         documentation, also showing the  maximum  length of  each field.

  50.         The functions in FRASC have been incorporated into the same
  51.         author's Family Records Utilities (FRU) available in both
  52.         shareware and commercial versions.
