Batch file RUNG.BAT can be used to run the GASPAT program for
calibrating an atmospheric furnace. To run this sample case,
type: RUNG Aternatively, this case could have been run using the
RUNGASPT batch file. File TAPE60A contains output from this case.
The file FLINK.TXT contains a list of all of the object modules that
are required if you want to make changes to GASPAT. Note that you
must copy the common block file CMDKS.FOR fro directory C:\HII\FOR to
this directory before compiling GASPAT by typing CMP GASPAT.
Input and output data for GASPAT are described in the file GASPAT.TXT.
Output data from GASPAT, which appears on TAPE60, is formatted for a 132
char printer. I scan the file and search for the steady-state efficiency
while calibrating a furnace. Note that GASPAT goes thru a transient
furnace cycle a few times to precondition metal temps so the default
metal temps read in the data files aren't too important.
Note that GASPAT can calculate an "AFUE" type cycle of 3.87 min on and
13.3 min off after the steady-state on cycle and cooldown. However, I've
never used the transient efficiencies from such a run for anything,
since the results cant be compared to AFUE values directly because of
differences in definitions. To get this cycle, set IAFUE=1 in file
GASPATA.DAT.
