STRIP POKER
SP.EXE pits you against your choice of female opponents
in a game of computerized strip poker. It requires an IBM
PC or close compatible with at least 128K of free memory
and graphics capability (with or without color). Running
SP from a hard disk or a ram disk greatly speeds up loading
and screen changes.
Installation:
Copy ALL of the files (except the documentation) from
this package to a single subdirectory or diskette.
Starting SP:
1. "Make current" the drive and directory containing
the SP files.
2. Type MODE CO80 and press return.
3. Type SP and press return. After a few moments a
sign-on screen will be displayed with a picture and
a request for you to choose your opponent.
NOTE: Step 2 requires that DOS be able to find and
execute the MODE.COM or MODE.EXE program that came with
DOS. Some combinations of monitors and adapters do not
require step 2. Try it both ways. If you get the normal
sign-on screen without using MODE then step 2 can be
omitted in the future.
House Rules:
1. The game is five card draw poker.
2. The ante is $5. If both players "check" (stay)
the pot stays and both players ante again.
3. Bets available are: $5, $10, $15, $20 and 25$.
4. Players are alternately first to bet.
5. There is a three raise limit.
6. You may draw from 0 to 5 cards. Your opponent may
draw from 0 to 3 cards.
7. You start with 3 articles of clothing. Your
opponent starts with 4.
8. Each player starts with $100. If a player places
a bet that would drop his or her funds below $0,
that player must offer to remove an article of
clothing in exchange for another $100. If that
player subsequently looses the hand, he or she must
remove the offered article(s). If, at the end of a
hand, a player's funds exceed $100 that player must
buy back any lost clothing - until fully clothed or
until funds drop below $100.
9. The game ends when either player is naked.
How to play:
At the sign-on screen, enter the number of the player
you wish to compete against. After a few moments a picture
of your opponent will appear on the top portion of the
screen and 5 cards (face down) will appear at the bottom of
the screen. Line 19, about 2/3 of the way down the screen,
is used for communication between the players. Pressing
the space bar at this time starts the game.
NOTE: Whenever SP is awaiting a response from you,
pressing <Esc> will immediately clear the screen and exit
the program. Similarly, Pressing "Q" will terminate the
game in progress and return you to the sign-on screen.
When the game begins, you have the first bet. Your
bets are placed on the left hand side of line 19 and your
opponent's bets are placed on the right side. Make sure
that Num-Lock is set so that the cursor movement keys are
active. Use the left and right arrow keys to display your
available options (bet, stay, fold, raise and call). When
the option you want is displayed, press the space bar to
select it.
If you select "bet" or "raise" you must select an
amount. The left and right arrow keys now vary the amount
of your bet between $5 and $25. When the amount you wish
to bet is displayed, press the space bar to select it.
After your selection(s) are made, your opponent's
response will be shown on the right side of line 19.
Betting alternates like this until someone calls (unless
both players "stay" in which case you ante again and
re-deal).
When all bets have been placed, a small pointer will be
displayed above your middle card. The left and right arrow
keys now move the pointer from card to card. Pressing the
space bar when the pointer is above a card "turns over"
that card. Pressing the space bar again turns the card
back up. Use this method to turn over all of the cards you
wish to discard. When all of your discards have been
turned over, move the pointer "off" either end of your
cards and the word FINISHED will appear on line 19. Press
the space bar at this time and you will be dealt
replacements for your discards. Your opponent will also
tell you how many cards she drew.
After the draw, another round of betting takes place.
After the final bet is placed, a winner is declared and any
necessary clothing adjustments are made.
The game continues in this manner until someone is
naked. ENJOY!!!
