Version 1.11 - 1st March 1993
Welcome to Communiqué version 1.11!
To our new-comers, Communiqué version 1.11 is the follow-up of
our very highly successful version 1.10, released on the 1st of
December 1992.
In general terms Communiqué version 1.11 is a mere maintainence
release, and that, in laymans terms, means a bug fix version.
There has been a few small feature additions, the most obvious
of course is the larger keyboard macros, allowing you up to 220
characters per macro key. Other changes or more cosmetic or are
from suggestions made by other Communiqué users. We would like
to specifically thank those users who came to us with their bug
reports, real or otherwise. All these problems have been fixed,
and we thank those people for sticking around to help solve the
problems.
We hope that you find all you need in version 1.11, and that it
will perform to your high expectations.
Version 1.11 will undoubtably be extremely successful if the
amount of interest generated after the last release is any
indicator. Many magazines, in many languages, gave Communiqué a
rave review, each and every time.
So, once again *I* must thank those people who took the time to
report any problems they expeirenced in the previous version
and to suggest improvments in the exisiting features. And to
those handful who actually requested some new features.
If you wish to report any problems or have some ideas that you
would like to see implemented there are a number of ways you
may contact WVS or one of the support or beta team members.
You can write to WVS or one of the support team members by
writing to one of the addresses listed in the file SUPPORT.DOC
which accompanies this file. Alternatly you may contact one of
these people in the official support confernce in Fidonet. If
you have access to a Bulletin Board System (BBS) which is a
member of FidoNet ask your system operator (SYSOP) if he can
recieve the COMMUNIQUE conference. This conference is designed
to support Communiqué users who are having problems, or just to
answer any other technical queries. You may also write messages
to other Communiqué users.
I wish you many fruitful hours online using Communiqué. I hope,
also, that you will take the time to support Communiqué with
your ideas and your registration. Each and every registration
helps. By registering you are supporting the very concept of
try-before-you-buy software, ie. shareware. Your registration
will ensure a bright future for Communiqué and progressivly
better releases. Thank you so very much.
Best Regards
Adam Blake
