│CHI-TOWN V1.0 (C) COPYRIGHT 1992 RAINWEAR SOFTWARE│
└───────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
╒════════════╕
│INTRODUCTION│
╘════════════╛
In CHI-TOWN you are a kingpin in control of a small but growing
mob of gangsters. By investing in legal and illegal business, smuggling
guns, running liquor, and making hits on rival gangs, you can work your
way up to total control of Chi-Town.
The game will support a total of eighteen players, and will run
on most popular BBS packages. The number of turns per day, the number
of turns of Syndicate protection, the bank name, and the bank interest
rate are all sysop configurable. This is a multi-node door, supports
high speed modems, and non-standard comm ports. There are also two
ASCII files that the sysop can create. THANKS.DAT* will allow the sysop
to thank his/her users for registering the door, while PLEASE.DAT* can
be a special message requesting help registering the door.
*NOTE: THANKS.DAT, and PLEASE.DAT should be one line of text, no longer
than 78 characters long. The door will trim off anything over 78
characters.

│INSTALLATION │
╘═════════════╛
To install the door, create the directory you wish to run your
door in. Unarchive the files into that directory. Run the CTSETUP
program. If your BBS package does not support one of the door files
listed during installation, you may have to use a door converter
program. Once you have run CTSETUP program, follow your BBS
documentation to set the BBS up to run RUN_DOOR.BAT If you choose not
to use CTSETUP, use an ASCII text editor to change the sample .CFG and
.BAT files to run your door.
■ Note: The setup program will automatically create a batch file to run
the door, and a configuration file for the door. The batch
file expects to find your BBS door drop file in the same
directory as the door. If you encounter trouble setting up the
door, please review both the batch file, and the configuration
file for possible typos or errors. B.BAT, and C.CFG are sample
batch and configuration files, with each line commented so you
will know what goes where.
