Installation Procedure for Applying Optional Patches
----------------------------------------------------
The installation procedure for the XQLP(O) v2.11b patch set is as
follows:
1. Since these patches are optional, you must modify the patch file in
order to apply them. For instructions, refer to each specific patch
number in the patch file XQLP.21B or XQLP0.21B.
2. Copy all the files to the directory on your system that contains the
files to be patched, and make this the default directory.
CAUTION: Make sure that you are patching XQLP(O) version 2.11b.
Refer to the section "Original File Information" for a
list of the XQLP(O) v2.11b files.
When you patch version 2.11b of the software, the patch
utility renames the original file to XQLP(O)21B.ORG. It
is recommended that you keep a copy of this file on your
system in the event that patches are to be applied again
at a later time.
3. Ensure that the PI.EXE utility is available on your system. (PI.EXE
is a patch utility that Novell provides to install product patches.
You can use PI.EXE in DOS or OS/2 environments.)
4. To apply the patches, run the batch file PATCH21B.BAT. This will
correct all XQLP(O) v2.11b components.
