To register this game, send $15 to the address below. The
registered version has several additional levels. Once you
register the game, you will only need to pay for postage and
expenses (about $5.00) for any upgrades. The upgrades are
important, because you will want new levels after you have
completed all of the levels in the first version. To my
knowledge, I am the only one who has completed all of the levels.

Object :
The object of BLOCKS is to remove all of the like
blocks (which now actually look like crates with different
symbols on them.) from the screen. Blocks disappear when
they are aligned with another block of the same kind. They
must be perfectly aligned, not just touching. There
are times when you will need to match 3 or more blocks
at a time, so be careful. A level is completed when
all of the blocks have been removed.
It is very possible for you to quickly get into a
situation where completion of the level is impossible.
When this happens press the BACKSPACE key to start
over.
Nothing in this game can "kill" you, meaning there are
no monsters and you can live forever. The only other
objective of the game is to pick up "prizes," which have
no purpose but to increase your score.
This version comes with 10 levels that you must complete.
When you obtain the registered version, you will have
more than twice that many, and the additional levels are
more difficult.
Good Luck.
Instructions:
Press the <Spacebar> or <N> to start a game. You will be
asked to enter your name. When you finish (by pressing ESC),
your level will be saved. To restart a game press <Spacebar> and
enter your name. You will be placed at the highest level you
have reached. To start a new game at level 1, use <N>.
Use the cursor keys to move your character around, and use the
<Spacebar> to jump. Push the blocks so that they line up. You
are only strong enough to push 1 block at a time, so pushing one
block against a non-matching block effectively traps that block
in place. Be careful when moving blocks close together. Your
character is fairly wide, and requires a great deal of space to
squeeze between two blocks, so even moving blocks fairly close
will trap them.
When you have eliminated all of the blocks, go to the door. That
will bring you to the next level.
Solutions:
Solutions to the levels are available with the registered
version, but are not provided automatically. If you wish to have
the solutions, please request them when you register your
version. They will be sent when the T-shirt contest is
complete.
Added in version 2.51
1) Fixed bug to allow shell to dos, and effective startup on
all machines.
Added in version 2.5
1) Improved timing.
2) Moved man's arms down when not pushing blocks.
3) Fixed bug from version 2.45 to do with entering name.
Added in version 2.45
1) Changed font used to be more readable.
Added in version 2.41:
1) Elevators pause for loading. Previously, the elevators could
be challenging to board, but that should not be
a problem as the elevators now pause before
starting to move up.
Added in version 2.40:
1) High Scores are limited to one per player. Because high
scores are determined by level, not score, and
players can always start at their previous
level, players are no limited to 1 high score.
Added in version 2.30:
1) Automatic game saving - When you begin a game you are asked
to enter your name (you can enter up to 7
letters). The game will save your ending level
when you quit the game, and return to that level
when you start a new game with the same name.
2) Scoring - When restarting a level, your score will be reset to
your score at the beginning of that level.
Added in version 2.20:
1) Boss Screen - Press F1 during play for a DOS shell. This is
a working DOS shell in which you can run
other programs.
2) High Scores - The top 10 high scores are recorded and
displayed.
