  1.        John Salo has volunteered to monitor this auction for the
  2.        sellers of the items in UPE #98.  Responsibility for the
  3.        items remains with the sellers.

  5.    If you have any specific questions regarding any of these items,
  6.    please direct them to the SELLERS and not to the UPE leader!  The
  7.    information you see here is all the information I have available.

  10.  
  11. 1.  All bids must be an even dollar amount (i.e. $1, $2, etc.)
  12. 2.  Send bids PUBLIC to JOHN SALO or BIDS, NO CC's, NO RECEIPTS!

  14. 3.  NO vague bids. Reply with: item #, short description, $ amount.
  15. 4.  Bids on duplicates will be applied to lowest current bid.
  16. 5.  Sellers may place ONE bid on their items until 48 HOURS BEFORE CLOSE.
  17. 6.  The UPE Monitor reserves the right to bid like anyone else.
  18. 7.  Bids time stamped 8:59 PM by the Exec-PC system will be accepted.
  19.     Any bids time stamped 9:00 or after will NOT be accepted.
  20. 8.  Items may not be withdrawn from bidding after UPE begins.
  21. 9.  You MUST follow through and pay for the item if you win.
  22. 10. Shipping/insurance costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
  23. 11. Failure to follow these rules will cause your peers to ridicule you.
  24. 12. In the event of a system crash near the closing of this UPE, the
  25.     following policies will be in effect:
  26.     If the system is up by *8:00 PM*, there will be no extension.
  27.     If the system is up by *8:59 PM*, the UPE extends to *9:59:59 PM*.
  28.     If the system is NOT up by *8:59 PM*, the UPE will be extended to
  29.        *Monday* at 8:59:59 PM.
  30. 13. Your monitor will make every effort to notify all UPE participants
  31.     of any changes in the UPE closing time. HOWEVER, the monitor WILL NOT
  32.     ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR BIDDERS LOSING BIDS due to extensions.
  33.     IOW, if there's a question about closing, DON'T ASSUME - BE HERE!!
  34. 14. By participating in this UPE as a buyer or seller, you agree to accept
  35.     any/all decisions that the Monitor may have to make during the course
  36.     of the UPE. The Monitor will make his/her best effort to be fair to
  37.     all parties, but his/her decision WILL BE FINAL.
