UCP v2.01 (copyright by FN Cooke November 1992) must run under Microsoft Windows (3.x). It was written using Microsoft Visual Basic. You will need the file VBRUN100.DLL which comes with and must be located in the same directory as Windows.
Extensive help is available although the program is extremely intuitive.
A mouse is recommended but not needed.
Copy the files ucp.exe, applist.dat, custom_u.dat, eldata.dat, major.dat, minor.dat, misc.dat, readme and ucp.ico into the same subdirectory, ex. C:\UCP. Start Windows and Windows' Program Manager. Click on File in main menu. Click on New and follow the normal setup proceedure. UCP may also be run directly from the disk, albeit at a much reduced speed.
The files eldata.dat, major.dat, minor.dat and misc.dat contain reference data. If you have obtained a copy of UCP without these files, UCP will still run but will not be able to display the data in the missing files. If this is the case, a complete copy of UCP may be ordered through me. Custom_u.dat and applist.dat contain examples and, if not initially present, can be created by UCP.
