Announcing The Ultimate Byte System :
Below is a short listing of some of the features it has.
Features
o Allows Daily Accounts (similar to PCBoard accounts using
PWRD file)
o Corrects problem with midnight rollover and loss of bytes
o Time implementation corrects midnight rollover loss of time.
o Allows Daily Account Bytes: operates like PCBoard bytes.
o Allows Weekly Account Bytes
User has preset byte limit for week rather than day
o Allows Monthly Account Bytes
User has preset byte limit for month rather than day
o Allows Quarterly Account Bytes
User has preset byte limit for 3 mth rather than day
o Allows Semi-Annual Account Bytes
User has preset byte limit for 6 mth rather than day
o Allows Annual Account Bytes
User has preset byte limit for year rather than day
o File Ratio Accounts with definable ratios
o Byte Ratio Accounts with definable ratios
o File and Byte Ratio together with definable ratios
o Ratios can be calculated as a session byte limit, or as
actual math calculation of ratio at present time.
o Upload credits allowable to non ratio users.
This will credit user with uploads who are not on
ratio accounts, but on Monthly or Annual accounts.
o Lock Out of specific users
o Default settings of Session Bytes, Daily Bytes are security
specific.
o Individual users can be set different than their specific
security level.
o Base Baud rate and Factoring allows flexible control on
bytes allocated based upon current session baud rate.
o Allows greater control over Display User Info at Login
o If user is found in PWRD, TUAM will honor PWRD setting.
o Byte ratio can be calculated on Session Bytes or Actual Ratios
o No need for DEPOSIT doors on Monthly or Annual Accounts for
byte storage.
o Runs automatically and is completely maintenance and event free
o Demo File will allow 60 days free usage
o Demo Key does not need to be downloaded from support board !
o SysOp definable display screens
o Complete integration into PCBoard, transparent to user
o Can run with some user on TUAM and others on PCBoard's PWRD or
other file control system.
o Automatic control over accounts upon user expiration
o Automatic Update possible for sysop changes in Security file
This allows one change to the Security file, and
all users of that specific level will change.
(User switch to disable this on user basis)
o Small Code, allows shelling to TUAM. Executes very fast,
making it appear invisible to users.
o Daily Limits can be enforced by security level, or can
be disabled, relying on session limits only.
o Session Limits, allow control on per session limit, while
allowing Daily limits to be higher.
(for monthly or annual accounts you may wish to
disable daily limits)
o Maintains full PCBoard security on files.
o Allows PCBoard to have full control over FREE files via
the normal FSEC file.
o Full control over time, allows Daily Time limits.
o Allows Account time to be sold and kept in master account
per user.
o Allows session time, now you can have a user with a higher
daily limit than their session limit.
o Weekly, Daily, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi Annual and Annual
resets will be build into time accounts at a later date.
o Allows for sliding security levels, and a different time
or byte level for each level.
o Automatic account change upon security level per user as
defined by sysop.
o Account that expires upon expiration of time and/or bytes.
Some Future Ideas:
o Calculates when account will expire based upon past history
and displays estimated expiration date.
Sysop definable.
o File accounts, will be able to have specific conferences where
number of files rather than number of bytes are controlled.
This will allow for distribution of specific files to users
on a quanity basis.
o Password control under sysop defination.
Will force user to change password on preset configuration,
per security level.
o Is able to check the past previous five passwords, and
disallow usage of old expired passwords.
o Password over-ride control by sysop.
