  2. PLUSTEK TWAIN DRIVER INSTALLATION GUIDE

  4. 1. You scanner driver SCANDEV?.SYS must be dated later than Dec 15, 1992.  
  5.    If yours is an earlier version, please use the B/W and color driver
  6.    supplied with this Twain file.
  7.  
  8. 2. There are 2 Twain files:
  9.    
  10.      TWAIN.DLL
  11.      PLUSTEK.DS
  12.  
  13. 3. Copy TWAIN.DLL in your windows directory, eg C:\WINDOWS
  14.  
  15. 4. Create a TWAIN directory under Windows by typing
  16.  
  17.      MD C:\WINDOWS\TWAIN
  18.  
  19. 5. Copy PLUSTEK.DS into C:\WINDOWS\TWAIN
  20.  
  21. 6. Modify WIN.INI by adding the following 2 lines at the end of the file
  22.  
  23.      [TWAIN]
  24.      default source=c:\windows\Twain\plustek.ds
  25.  
  26. 7. Restart your window, now your twain dirver is installed, you can use Plustek
  27.    scanner with any TWAIN compliant window program such as
  28.  
  29.      Picture Publisher 3.1
  30.      WinFax PRO 3.0 ....
