1 Which lottery should you play?
A. Wisconsin Megabucks gives two plays for $1.00 with 49 numbers.
It has four winning prizes, $1,000,000+ grand prize, $500.00
with five of six, $30.00 with four of six, and $2.00 with three
of six. The odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 13,983,816.
It's paid off in annual payments for 25 years of about $28,000.
B. Wisconsin Super Cash gives two plays for $1.00, with 36 numbers.
This is the easiest one to win the grand prize of $250,000, which
after taxes comes to about $187,000 in a single payment. There
are three prize levels, the grand prize we've already stated.
Getting five of the six balls gets you $500.00 and getting four
of six gets you $25.00. Up to 20 people may win the Grand Prize
before the pot starts getting divided.
C. Lotto America Power Ball. This is the hardest and most expensive
to play. You get one play for $1.00, the odds of winning are about
the same as a six ball lottery with 61 balls, pretty slim. But the
second prize of $100,000 is easier than Super Cash as there is a
1 in 1.2 million chance of getting it. Super Cash is 1.9 million.
The Good thing about it is that there is usually only 1 winning
ticket, so you won't wind up splitting it with someone else.
D. Wisconsin Pick 3. The easiest one to win the jackpot with only 1000
possible combinations. Boxing gets you mulitple ways of getting a
second prize win, whereby in a 6 way box, 123 may come up in any of
the 6 possible ways and you win $40.00. In a three way (two out of
three of the numbers are identical), you can win $80.00. Though it
is pocket change compared to the other lotteries, it's a whole lot
easier to get. Look at the printouts for Pick 3. There is a $5.00
way to play only even or only odd numbers, and if only even or only
odd numbers come up you're guaranteed the $40.00 prize. Boxing is
like getting 6 plays for $.50 cents.
E. Scratch off tickets. For those playing for the pure fun of winning
something, the scratch off games offer better odds. For those of
you that are looking for the big wins, it's certainly in the lotteries.
2. When to play?
A. This depends on whether you're playing solo or in a group. There are
certainly times that are better for playing than others. But either
way the amount you spend will most likely determine the chances of
a win. You may play small wheels on a regular basis, or larger wheels
once a month or so.
B. We've spent a lot of time on Super Cash because it's a daily game and
presently there are over 500 games played. Never in a seven game floating
period have more than 30 numbers been in play, and when the lottery
gets that full the winning numbers will come from them. Now the odds of
getting a win are no longer 1 in 1.9 million, they're 1 in 593,775. For
every ball you can eliminate you reduce the odds against you. The fuller
the lottery, the better the time to play. There are usually 21 to 27 balls
in play during the 7 game floating periods. Watch for 28-30 balls in play.
Now from time to time the lottery will draw from only numbers that have
come up once and twice within the seven game periods. Playing with only
the ones and twos you again are reducing the odds. There are 10 spread-
sheets for Super Cash you can use. Follow the SC7CYCLE for the amount of
numbers in play. Also, study the SC-POS files. You may be able to reduce
the amount of bets needed by playing by position, rather than numbers
wheeled (which doesn't take positioning into account.) Having leaner bet
procedures will allow more bets to be placed. The SCFOLLOW file will as a
rule generate at least one or more of the next game's numbers.
C. The lottery moves in phases every three days or so. Hot numbers tend to
not show up as often after three games go by. You can see that in the
SCSKPTOT file. Super Cash Skip trace Totals will give you an idea on the
numbers that are in play and whether you should consider them or not.
The seven game floating periods were set up for that reason.

The secret to success is to find ONE system and use only it. Bouncing around
from one approach to another is ok in the beginning when you're trying to
find the best way. But it's being there with the right system at the right
time that will probably do it for you.
