  19.                      BRIEF HISTORY OF THE VAMPYRE BAR! BBS

  22. The Vampyre Bar! BBS was founded in 1986 in South Jersey as a simple place for
  23. message exchanging. Since then, it has grown considerably! The system was
  24. transfer from a Commodore 128 running Mutant 128 to an IBM compatible running
  25. PCBoard 14.5a/E3. Also, the message exchanges have grown from being a place
  26. for users in South Jersey to an INTERNATIONAL network exchanging messages with
  27. users from all over the WORLD! But, we're still personal enough to help the
  28. individual users. And, we have lots to offer the users. Everything from
  29. GENIUSnet EchoMail Systems and New England Network (since our BBS is now based
  30. in Worcester, Massachusettes) to support for our own BBS software, The Vampyre
  31. Doorware Series. Call us today and check out what we have to offer!

  57.                                PATRON MEMBERSHIPS

  60. Patron memberships to The Vampyre Bar! BBS are as simple as sending a check or
  61. money order for $30 to our system! This gives you 2 hours per day and unlimited
  62. downloads for 6 months to our system. Also, patrons are given access to the
  63. CD-ROM libraries and also to the PATRON ONLY nodes (as our main node will soon
  64. be changed to 2400/MNP). Our patron membership program is one of the lowest and
  65. easiest to take part in.

  67. Along with the Patron Membership program, there is also the Adopt-A-Door
  68. program which allows users to gain patron status by registering a game or
  69. utility for the BBS. The patron membership is 6 months and grants the user
  70. 90 minutes per day and unlimited downloads for the duration of their patron
  71. membership.
