OLYMPIC COOKIES (aka Monster Cookies)
1 C butter or margarine
1-1/2 C brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1-1/4 t vanilla
2-1/2 C oats, uncooked
1 C flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 C M&Ms plain chocolate candies
1/2 C raisins
3/4 C chopped nuts

Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in egg and
vanilla. Add combined oats, flour, soda, and salt; mix well. Stir in
remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto
ungreased cookie sheets about 3 inches apart. Press 2 to 3 additional
